they'll lose...last season they did beat stanford...but they lost to arizona and washington state.
they can't beat anyone in their conference on the road....and none of the upper echelon teams at home...so to get bowl eligible, they have to sweep the out of conference games...i see 6 possible wins on their schedule and they'll probably lose at least 3 of those. i see 6 solid losses and they might win one of those...that still makes it real hard to get to 6 wins and .500.
it comes down to fresno, WSU, OSU, arizona and colorado.
if they lose 2 of those games, they're toast...and all 5 teams could beat utah. fresno, WSU and arizona are at RES. that gives OSU and colorado a huge opportunity to beat utah and protect their own home field.
let's go through their schedule:
idaho / home...win
fresno / home...possible win
michigan / road...loss
WSU / home...possible win
UCLA / road...loss
OSU / road...possible win (road game though...likely loss)
USC / home...loss
ASU / road...loss
oregon / home...loss
stanford / road...loss
arizona / home...possible win
colorado / away...possible win
