The big 12 finally does something in a big game, and he acts like they're on the same level as the sec. Hey, bob. There is a reason why you're called "big game bob", and it's not because you're good at them.
Phil Steele does a "what is the best" conference feature every year, based on analysis of the games, head to heads, bowls, etc. and he comes to the same conclusion that we all do...that the sec is dominant, and the big 12 is third best, behind the sec and PAC.
Great, so tamu is scheduling crappy out of conference teams. Guess where they learned that? From the originator of the strategy: kansas state. And guess who followed suit? Every other big 12 team. So you've scheduled Tennessee. Yay. Did it occur to him that he's proving the sec's point? He schedules a middle of the pack sec team, and we are supposed to be impressed. Maybe he should look at who lsu has scheduled lately.
The reality, however, is that under the current system, teams that schedule difficult OOC games don't get it. And that's why nobody is scheduling tough teams like they used to.
