I think he has a point about not expanding to get to a CCG. At the end of the year, SEC teams and B12 play the same # of conference games. Have a CCG, in and of itself, doesn't make the road more difficult. The top SEC teams are playing an extra game a year, but that extra game is essentially being filled with patsies.

SEC is a much stronger conference than the B12. But since you don't actually play everyone in the SEC, whether your road to the big game is tougher depends on other factors too
