That was the first time College Gameday had ever visited Provo. Our game might have been the biggest of the week and most analysts were talking like our game against FSU was just a fluke. Then, we showed them it wasn't a fluke by getting blown out at home on homecoming night in a matchup that the whole country was following. It was basically an acknowledgement that BYU during those years was not as much of a big dog as we thought we might be. I know people will say that TCU was just really good so it was understandable, but a lot of people felt we might have been just as talented, and that game made it obvious we were not even close to an elite program.
