Just curious.
My child is just in preschool so I realize I don't have the experience that a lot of people have, but I was wondering what your reasoning is on no homework? Maybe my viewpoint will change when I have a few kids in school, but my child coming home with something that requires them to continue learning at home doesn't seem unreasonable.
Maybe an hour for a first grader is a little on the high side, but anywhere from 30 min-60 min feels like an appropriate amount of time for them to read or do something to keep their brains engaged and working at home.
