My friend was a DL at BYU and went up against both Willis and Kalin Hall every day in practice. My friend told he that Kalin was the better running back, was more physical and was much tougher to tackle. If Hall could have stayed healthy, he would have easily been a 1,000 yard rusher in each of his two seasons at BYU. The guy was the national Juco player of the year and was recruited by schools like Nebraska (during the height of their I-back success). I'm not knocking Willis, because he was a special player, but Hall never quite got it together due to his injuries.
