Willis's game against ND was his most physical ever, hands down
I wish it weren't an exceptional performance in that regard, though.
Willis just wasn't a physical runner. He did not drag guys like he could've, & he didn't like being the guy in the middle of the muck. He obviously was scared of that sort of running, & in any case, he wasn't good at it.
I have no doubt that if Willis had chose to be a receiver rather than a RB, he could've been a pro-bowler. He was a VERY gifted athlete.
I think Staley was a bit more gifted as a pure athlete though. He was Schwarzenegger with sub-4.5 speed.
