That's one way of looking at it, but if things don't improve significantly
before his next contract expires, I could see BYU and Bronco parting ways regardless of who's "in line".
I don't really think that not having a replacement is a problem. Tom Holmoe is no dummy, and I think he would be able to fill the vacancy.
The question for me is if Bronco is the guy to elevate BYU another nothc or two or not.
