it's terrible timing.

firing Bronco in the middle of his contract will severely handicap finding the next coach.

coaching a heisman for a single season pales in comparison to what the coach will want long term. which is security and reasonable assurance he can ride out more than 2 8-5 seasons.

we have to let bronco finish his contract
