Exactly. Firing Bronco is an irrational decision and one Holmoe won't make
I've posted it before, but BYU and Bronco parting ways at the end of his current contract is the soonest we get a new coach. Bronco isn't getting fired. Those who want him fired aren't thinking clearly. There is lots of evidence to support both sides of the argument so it's not worth stating it anymore than the thousands of times it has been posted on this board already.

Bronco is a good coach, but his current contract should be no guarantee that he gets another one. There are options out there for BYU to build on what Bronco was able to reestablish after the disaster that was Gary Crowton. Bronco likely isn't the one to get us, or return us, to a higher level than we currently are.

We need to start exploring those options that are available to us and see what it would take to get our top choices to come. Among our choices are at least one current college head coach, several college coordinators and assistant (head)coaches, some NFL coordinators and the real stretch that is likely the pipe dream for all of us, Andy Reid (probably not really even worth mentioning though).

So to say that our pool is limited is sort of true but it's also misleading. We do not lack for a decently sized pool of candidates.

Whether Tom Holmoe and the BOT decide it is time (at the end of his contract) to move on from BM may be another story. They don't think the same way irrational fanatics do.
