You give Rose that break because of personality. I think you equate a percieved
lack of personality as a sign of other deficiencies. That perception slants your thought and creates a bias. I would argue that football is also relevant. Almost every week the team has a national audience. The same cannot be said of basketball.
All that being said, I think BYU is fortunate to have Bronco and Rose.
