at the time, BYU made what it thought was the best decision for the organization at that time. I don't fault them for it. Was it the right decision? Maybe not, but it was the one they thought was best at the time. Everyone makes decisions that are later questioned. They are questioned because of landscape changes. Those changes aren't foreseen. To assume they could have predicted that today's environment would be as difficult as it is, because of the decision they made back then is a stretch , to say the least. Hindsight is always 20/20.
