The defense is "getting better" against unimpressive offenses. It gave up
the third highest point total of the year for UNLV, the 110th ranked offense. The defense gave up 143 yards rushing to UNLV's no. 2 running back. I'm sorry, but I'm not buying the defense is getting better mantra. The defense is awful and if people cannot (or will not) see it in the results of the UNLV game, the horrible defensive coaching/play/scheme/talent will be exposed when it plays a decent Cal offense.
