There are actually quite a few similarities between Nebraska's and BYU's plights

Both fanbases have overinflated senses of what they should be given the restrictions both programs have on recruiting. BYU is limited by its religion. Nebraska is limited by being a small state in the middle of a cornfield - the only thing they have going for them is Big 10 money, a hardcore fanbase, and a legacy of success. But I can imagine their recruiting is only going to get progressively worse by not playing games in Texas any longer.
