He's said more than once he's okay with penalties if they're due to being...
...aggressive play. Problem is, a number of these "aggressive, okay penalties" have extended eventual scoring drives by negating critical 3rd or 4th down stops or they've negated an interception, etc. I remember earlier in the season someone in the secondary had an interception negated by a late hit on the QB penalty against Dallin Leavitt. He had a full 2 steps after the QB had released the ball but he didn't even try to slow down and just hit him anyways. Dumb play. We've had a number of really senseless penalities like that that haven't been good and all contribute to a culture of sloppy, undisciplined play and overall poor execution. Definitely not the direction we want to go.
