Here's the problem with saying Staley is the best. Everything actually does
point to his Doak Walker year being just a perfect storm of events. A system with Crowton that utilized his specific(and amazing)skill set, a QB who played perfectly to optimize what he did.
The two years prior he was a pretty ho hum guy. Then he couldn't transition to even one season in the NFL.
Harvey was over 1,000 yards rushing and 400 yards receiving 3 years in a row. He then went on to at least make a couple of NFL rosters.
Staley was amazing that year but he is not better than Harvey.
