you didn't really help your case, honestly. if you look only at numbers, then
yes, you did. the problem is that some of us actually watched the games. yeah, you gave some examples of some 1000 yard rushers, but you're still talking about the exception to the rule, not the rule. clearly. in addition, of course they threw for 292 and 274. THEY WERE BEING DARED TO THROW THE BALL!!! guess what, i was on the freaking team at the time! teams would load up on kevin and dare him to throw, especially deep, because he didn't have the arm to sling it out there. the UVA game is probably the best example that i can think of off the top of my head. if it's on byutv, check it out. it may still have been byu, but teams still do their homework, palangi.

hooks and pittman? yay. two possession wr's who couldn't get stretch the field. 8 man box. sitake. yay. he is a much better dc than he ever was a player. don't overrate him. tevita? mr. irrelevant. just so i know that we're talking about the same guy, you're citing the guy with 853 total career yards. right? that may tell you a little about our passing game in his career...

you really don't think that there are mitigating circumstances that should be taken into account when you're talking about a career? let's take terrell davis. the guy never had 1000 yards in college. his high was 824, followed by 445. do you look at injuries, or poor teams with him? everyone else would. but he doesn't need excuses? it's not an excuse, it's called reality.
