I think I presented some new information in a fairly non-inflammatory way. I looked up the numbers and found that there was in fact a statistically significant change for the Pats in their ball security occurring in 2007. Why do you have a problem with that?
#1-3: It appears from your points 1-3 that you didn't read what I wrote about stats. Each one of your points is irrelevant to the issue at hand (being that the Patriots have perhaps been up to something for years). In a game where one team dominates, a small advantage isn't going to make a difference. The prior week against Baltimore, on the other hand, could be a different story. Additionally, the home-field advantage that they won because of their performance over the entire season (and other seasons) could also be impacted by a small advantage relating to ball security.
#4: I agree. I'm not sure what you are trying to get at, but yes, they play in an easy division.
#5: Again, it isn't about this one game. Again, the results from 1 game aren't statistically significant.
#6: Possibly. Does the difference show up when "handling" the ball, or when squeezing it tightly while being tackled? I don't know.
#7: You're right, the balls from the past 7 years can't be tested at this point. And, one more time, I have never said anything about the under-inflated balls having any kind of meaningful impact on the NE v IND game.
#8: Why do you care what I read/research/write about? I posted plenty of warnings about what the topic was. Why did you even click on it? If I choose to arm myself with facts rather than bury my head in the sand, what does it matter to you?
