iPhones? Come on dude. It's impossible to obtain data regarding the psi of the footballs and therefore impossible to measure correlation. So, I don't know why you are suggesting that he should go out and "obtain more data."
He should get in a time machine and travel to every Patriots game and record the psi of every ball used, obviously.
Then he should:
1.) Record how many minutes the NE players showered on game day
2.) Tell Tom Brady which deodorant to apply (Three levels: Right Guard/Gillette/Old Spice)
3.) (a) Upper deck Bill Belichick's toilet OR (b) Not upper deck Bill Belichick's toilet.
These could all be potential contributing factors to the Patriots fumble rate because apparently our minds regress to the state of an infant unless we have data, thus factors of interest are arbitrarily chosen.
NO!
Who decides what a factor of interest is?
YOU DO!
A factor of interest is...
A FACTOR...OF INTEREST.
And you'd better have some good reason that you are interested in it or you will not be a statistician for very long. No one is interested in how iPhones correlate to fumbles. NO ONE.
