It was the one chance BYU had to get all sports in a Power 5 conference because the big 12 was desperate and willing to work around Sunday play. At this point the only hope is a football invite - BYU Bball and other sports will always be relegated to a lower tier conference. BYU just went Indy and BYUtv and were excited about those. That was very short sighted. I think Holmoe got it but think the ultimate decision makers just didn't understand the landscape of college athletics very well and how it was changing. So Sad.

For those that say we never had an invite - go ask any Big 12 team and they are still wondering why we turned the big 12 down. All reports outside of Provo was BYU valued Indy, BYUtv, wanted TV guarantees, was worried about instability etc..
