Apart from the theoretical elements, most of what you learn this year about building apps won't be as relevant in 5-7 years, but what you learn now will enable you to learn new things next year, which will enable you to learn new things the following year, etc.

I'm glad I got a degree. I had already been working in the industry 5 years when I started going to school, but I'm still glad I made the decision to formalize my core knowledge set and get a CS degree. You'll do fine at either school.
