web and native apps. Work hard and take the opportunities you're given to continually learn new technologies. Apart from the theoretical elements, most of what you learn this year about building apps won't be as relevant in 5-7 years, but what you learn now will enable you to learn new things next year, which will enable you to learn new things the following year, etc.
I'm glad I got a degree. I had already been working in the industry 5 years when I started going to school, but I'm still glad I made the decision to formalize my core knowledge set and get a CS degree. You'll do fine at either school.
