I remember driving a 3-door Opel Corsa on the german Autobahn

With the pedal to the metal, it would max out at between 165-180 kmh (depending on if you were going uphill, downhill, or flat). Moving over to pass somebody, you take a long look in your mirrors to check if it is clear, but without fail as soon as you moved over you would see flashing headlights in your mirror from some Mercedes that is coming up on you like you are sitting still.
