No, it is people like you who cause the additional accidents.
Yes, I know, you are going to say that speed kills. The problem is, that doesn't matter in this particular exercise because you aren't going to really slow them down. You might temporarily -- of course, on the flip side, the fact that they are going fast and have to slow down may cause an accident. Or, even more to the point (as is pointed out to you), the fact that they end up making multiple lane changes makes them more likely to be in an accident, one which you indirectly caused.

If you were actually slowing them down, then perhaps your "speed kills" argument would come into play. The problem is, you aren't really going to slow them down, instead you are merely going to put more people at risk as they are forced to try and get around you.

Last, the right lane is not necessarily any worse than the left lane. In fact, I've been on several highways where the right lane is the best -- because, like you, no one seems to want to drive on it.
