if I'm doing the speed limit in the left lane. If I'm going under the speed limit, I will absolutely get over for you, but if I'm traveling at the speed limit, YOU, THE SPEEDER, should be inconvenienced, not me. I'm not going into the traffic-clogged, 18-wheeler-laden and deeply rutted right hand lane to make your speeding more convenient.
I'm well aware of the law in Utah. It's poorly worded, ill-conceived and definitely at odds with the law in most other states. Why would any rational lawmaker mandate facilitating the breaking of a law by those who are abiding that same law? Should I also be required to hold the door for you as you shoplift? Makes no sense whatsoever and if I'm ever cited (which I doubt I ever will be) I'll appeal the ticket just to have the opportunity to ask the judge that very question. If I don't win, I'll pay my fine and be right back out there happily abiding the speed limit in the left lane.
Again, bring the hate, I don't care. You're going to have to go around me if you're exceeding the speed limit. Deal with it.
