I totally agree that the IOS environment
is stinky if you want to go back to Android. I wanted to listen to music on my Android and it's all on iTunes. You can do it, but it is a serious pain in the butt. That irritated me greatly. And back then the podcasts did not automatically update (I don't know if they do now). Again, you might be able to go around these issues now, but you have to very carefully and deliberately go around it. You are in many ways locked into what you choose. And that is because of Apple's psychopathology (along with lack of USB ports and a refusal to use Flash). Texting can also be a major issue.

That said, I think IOS is a much better system in general in terms of the user experience. I will never go back.

The iPhones are much better. They last a long time if you need them to. You are not anxiously awaiting the next upgrade. They are a good long-term deal. But they are not a very good short-term deal.
