not a huge fan of carbon and I esp wouldn't buy carbon used
even though I buy almost everything else used.
If the carbon has had an accident you can't necessarily tell by looking at it, and there is huge chance it is compromised.
I actually don't like carbon bike for this reason - too fragile. If you're not racing, you don't need a fully carbon bike anyhow.
