is that our ESPN deal isn't guaranteed to exist forever. I was able to get upgraded seats this year because many fans in the blue seats aren't renewing. The same is true in the other sections of the stadium. In the thirty-five years I've been attending games I've never seen fan interest this low.

Schedule isn't everything. Frankly many of us fans who are long in the tooth enjoyed the WAC and the MWC because the title chase and the inter-conference rivalries that are part of the game and a lot of fun. Right now this element does not exist. With independence once the first loss occurs the wind is largely taken out of the sails.

Personally I think independence is the right thing to be doing for now. However, I doubt it is sustainable long-term and BYU either gets in a P5 or has to join a lesser conference.

There are decent arguments on both sides but you guys that act like there aren't are kind of pathetic.
