I actually think that Ziggy would have been drafted even if he
had never been given the chance to start. His measurables were freakishly good, and that's what NFL exec's are looking for. I would argue that his combine performance had a buffer role in his draft status than the second half of his senior year did.

In my opinion, Ziggy is an example of someone who came to BYU with NFL talent, and then got drafted into the NFL as he should have. That actually is a better argument that playing at BYU won't hurt your chances in the NFL if you have the talent to play at the next level, rather than an argument that playing under Bronco does hurt you. There are other players you could use to make that argument if you want (like Matt Reynolds), but not Ziggy.

How much better would Ziggy's draft have gone if he had played under some other coach? It couldn't have been much better, since he got drafted 5th. It's very hard to argue that Bronco hurt Ziggy's draft status.
