My only hiccup is that Ziggy was outperforming Dulan and Tialavea (who played DE that season) even when he wasn't starting and just getting part time DE reps.
Dulan was never anything more than a gap stuffer, and Tialavea was pretty much a newbie at the DE spot (despite being basically a 4th year starter). Seniors with experience or not, it was pretty clear, imo, that Ziggy was producing more than those two combined even before Eathyn went down.
That said, the coaches still took a complete novice with a self admitted questionable work ethic who, again self admittedly, didn't even know if he wanted to play football and just about quit several times; the coaches turned that kid into a top 5 NFL draft pick. To complain too much about the coaching of such a kid is to display awesome stupidity.
