Amphetamines are not the same as adding 40 lbs of muscle. Anyone who puts them anywhere near the same category doesn't understand medicine.

Are you honestly trying to say that a change in his swing at age 35 made more of a difference than 40 lbs of muscle? Please tell me you aren't that naive. A 35 year-old man goes to a huge pitchers ball park and starts hitting homers at a base that Babe Ruth couldn't have kept up with?

Ken Griffey Jr was the best positional player in the 1990s. He had better hitting numbers and was a much better defender (Bonds was very good, Griffey was one of the best of all-time) Greg Maddux was the best overall player in the 90s. I do agree that Bonds could have been a Hall-of-Famer without the steroids. With them he will have an extremely hard time getting into the Hall. Why? Because everything he did was fabricated. The same reason that Lance Armstrong doesn't have any Tour De France victories to his credit.
