So the first year he played as user was in 1999. He turned 35 in July of 1999. I have no idea where you get 33 from--unless you are just trying to fudge the numbers in your favor.
But that link only measures hitting. If you compare overall player using WAR, then Bonds was actually ahead of Hank Aaron at the age of 33, and the two were pretty much identical their entire careers until Bonds turned 36.

I have no problem with someone arguing that Mays is the greatest living player, but steroids or not, the argument comes down to Mays, Aaron, and Bonds. As overall players, Bonds and Aaron were almost identical until the point Bonds started using, and if you follow the graph I have linked, you see that the two probably would have ended their careers as pretty similarly rated players. If you include Aaron, you have to include Bonds in the discussion.
