Staley got cut.
It means that what you are reporting has been reported at least 20 other times today. Many Years ago, We were all heartbroken when Luke Staley got cut by the Lions. People reported this news at least (20) times that day. The acronym stuck. It was not used as an offense to Staley. Really had nothing to do with him getting cut. Just the fact that fans reported it so often.
