Owner dentists work 4.4 hours more per week than employee dentists

That's not much.

I think you're underestimating how stressful other people's jobs are. Just ask minimum wage earners struggling to pay rent. Or lawyers who say good night to their kids by phone every night. Or people forced to work weekend after weekend. Or cops who could get killed writing a standard speeding ticket. Every job has its pros and cons.

"There is a reason most dentists do whatever they can to work four days a week,five or six days a week of dentistry is very mentally and physically exhausting."

Who doesn't want to work less? But unlike most people, dentists can afford to.
