Except the primary reason it would be stressful

is because it's such an easy job that the market is saturated with agents. Requires very little skill or education for how much can be made. Sure it can be difficult to find clients or when the market is tough but there is a huge opportunity to make a lot of money off of the backs of homeowners. Many agree as evidenced by how many are kicking the idea of paying 6% to someone who at least currently has to do very little work to have a huge payday
