yes, as a whole, but less so are the administrators in higher ed, and

some conservative folks don't want the attention drawn to them by being linked with an entity that is or will be receiving a lot of negative heat for its stances, even if they sympathize with them. It only take a few people, as we've seen, to torpedo something like this.
