I'd be fine if they did or if they didn't. There are already lots of exceptions
... both within the church and professionally to working or playing on Sunday.
If the athletic program continues towards obscurity I would be there to the end. But right now we are at a crossroads for the program. In the next 3 years we will either be in the P5 or not. If not then the program won't be the big avenue for exposure it has been in the past or even today.
If that exposure is as important as it's made out to be then I wouldn't fault the school for making an exception... like BYUtv. Do we really need to watch BYUtv on non conference Sundays?
