We know they both have amazing arms.. the kind that come out of high school a couple of times a year. We know that they both are/were students of the game coming out of high school. We know they both kill/killed it in 7 on 7's in camps, with very little pressure. We know they could/can make all the throws.

But there's talent, and then there's HOW they play the game. When the heat got turned up, we know Heaps wilted. Simply put, he was just not a gamer. What happens with Mangum under the lights? What happens after he throws a couple of picks and the team morale takes a dive?

I don't claim to know, but I have a feeling that Mangum is a gamer, and I'm excited to find out.

You'll respond by saying that the Jets think Heaps is a gamer, because he looks to make their roster. And I'll respond to that by saying that, with the possible exception of the Raiders, the Jets have been the poorest evaluators of QBs talent in the NFL. I hope Heaps turns it all around and makes a living in the NFL. With what he's been through, I wish him the best.
