I need a good excuse to get out of a dinner with a co-worker tonight:
My coworker is a member of a pretty prestigious club here in town, and has to spend > $100 each month at the club restaurant. She's invited me (and my wife) several times to dinner with her and her husband, and recently we were working together for a client, and in order to seem friendly, I agreed. I honestly would love to go and see the place, plus it is a great networking opportunity for me. And they're treating. Well today is the day, and Mrs. Revolution told me that she doesn't want to go. She has good reasons (mostly because she had forgotten about it and really doesn't want to go. But also because its rough with our young kids at home). Anyway, I've been away from home 4 out of the last 5 nights doing work for various non-work organizations (Church for 2 nights, 1 night for a club, and one night as a family we went to the County Fair) and it would be good for me to be home with the kiddos. Anyway, I'd like to have a good excuse so I don't come across as a jerk to my coworker.

Anyone have something better than: "I couldn't find a babysitter".

CB please help!
