Mrs. Rev stayed home. I went and had a great time.
First of all, the couple was very understanding that my wife didn't come. They are not parents, but they are god-parents of like 20 kids or something. They are the favorite aunt and uncle to pretty much all their nieces and nephews... even the 7 that live in England.

The club was spectacular. It is five floors, right in the middle Boston. It has like 6 squash courts and a beautiful pool. The men's room in the club was probably the coolest man cave that I've ever seen. Big screen tv's. Leather couches. Stocked-full bar. It was phenomenal. (It'd be a ton of fun to watch a BYU game there).

My coworker expressed regret that she feels excluded because many of the deals get done in the men's room.

The restaurant was very nice as well. The club, like a lot of clubs in the area, requires the members to spend at least $100 at the restaurant each month, whether or not they eat there. It is to encourage people to go. So our meals were basically what they were obligated to pay anyway.

While we were there a lot of people came and my co-worker knows most of the people there (she literally grew up going to the club). People were coming over left and right to say "hi". One couple came over and even sat down with us to have dinner. We all pushed over, and had five people at our table.

Over and over, it was, oh, this guy teaches chemical engineering at MIT, this guy was dean of Suffolk College. One of the guys at the table with us was a major player at Bank of America.

All said, I left work with my co-worker at 5:30 and we drove straight over to meet her husband and tour the club. I didn't leave until after 9:00. And I had a great time.

They are aware that I'm not probably going to join the club (its quite a bit out of my price range). But it is certainly the type of networking group I need to get into to make my Estates and Trust practice really blossom. Problem is, like cougarboard, the place is already swarmed with attorneys.

When I got home Mrs. Rev was asleep, and after talking to her this morning, it seems like everything went great here too.

Thanks everyone for your input.
