Riley Nelson had an injury where pain was the only hindrance. I don't blame him for saying he could play through it and trying. It is on the coaches to identify the problems before the game and plan accordingly. If Riley says he can play through the pain, and gives is a shot, I'm not blaming him. I have more of a problem with coaches not figuring out the limitations the week of practice leading up to the game and having a backup ready. IMHO, in regards to play, Riley didn't do anything wrong. In regards to interteam relationships, I don't even know anymore because I believe I was blinded in my opinions that Heaps would play up to his potential.

I'd rather have my QB have grit than anything else, but they have to have the other tangible characteristics to go along with it.
