Everyone knew Riley shouldn't have played the last three games that he did.
He went into his Sr. season with a bum shoulder--obviously hurt that worse--& then really got himself hurt in a way that effected his mobility as well (which we would find out--not surprisingly--was a major back injury). Kid was an ultimate warrior, & he needed to be kept in much stronger check than he was. For his own good & for the good of the team.

While I wish Riley had been more selfless, anyone who expects that kind of self-restraint from D1 caliber athletes is just being naive to the territory.

The Riley fiasco (& the Heaps fiasco before it) was a total coaching blunder.
