BYU that is not indy and not in a P5 does not help them meet that requirement. If you are going to schedule a OOC game that is not going to inhance your SOS, you would be CRAZY to schedule BYU. Beating us does you no good, while losing the game could kill your season in September due to the SOS damage. The G5 that mainly get scheduled now are patsies that you can tune up on. BYU is not a tune up game. BSU's schedule will never include the level of P5 games we currently have because of the above reasons.

I get your reasoning from a ranking perspective, but as has been discussed in this thread, rankings mean little. NY6 would be great due to the $$ and exposure, but overall joining a G5 for greater NY6 inclusion would be a step-back for us at this point. Just my opinion
