If PPG is the standard washington is a much better defense than utah.
So far this year they've allowed 15.75 points per game (take away cal and washington is only allowing 11 ppg). Cal had nearly 500 yards of offense against that team and scored 30 points. Any way you slice this Utah is not the best defense cal has faced and Cal has slaughtered better defenses. Meanwhile, Cal is BY FAR the best offense Utah will have faced.
I'm not saying Cal will win this contest. I'm saying Cal CAN win this, and if everything goes right they could turn it into a blowout.
