M&P Shield 9 with a Crossbreed IWB holster
I've carried several 'compact' models, and the shield is thin enough that once you are used to it, you don't notice it much.
Downside... Single stack clip doesn't give you many rounds.

If you don't care about a possible outline of the gun (printing), I would stick with what you have. This is how I carry.
