Best bet for regular carry is appendix or 4:00-5:00, rear right hip IWB. (or 7:00-8:00, left hip for lefties). For deep concealment, ankle, calf, or under the armpit. I never go deep conceal unless absolutely required because of the time it takes to access the firearm (Some armed covert operations are better in deep conceal, but it isn't ideal for the regular concealed carrier).
Getting a good tuckable IWB holster is the best bet, and the slimmer single stack guns do conceal a bit easier. I carry a double stack all the time though, and have zero trouble concealing it in anything I wear. I carry at 4 o clock position 99% of the time. I wear whatever I want, including tailored pants and slim fit dress shirts. Get a good quality belt and tuckable holster, and you are good to go!
