Your right, you don't know... "kickbacks" are against the law and any Dr. accepting them or any DME company who offers them and is caught opens up the opportunity to lose the ability to do business.
I read your post you linked to. The fact that you mentioned breathe right strips as a solution to sleep apnea is absolutely ridiculous. There are plenty of "solutions" to apnea you can find on the internet, but very few are actually based on results and treating the cause of the apnea.
I am glad you trained your body to sleep a different way, but to say you don't have breathing interruptions is something you can't know unless you have a follow-up study or at least an overnight oxymetry to verify you are no longer dropping your oxygen in your sleep. Snoring is not the same as apnea.
