Do you understand viewing disbursement on a global stage? The development of a channel globally takes time, resources, and energy. That is why BYU tv is on many satellite and cable packages, as well as Amazon Prime. It will take ten years and innovative minds, but BYU television will hit other language markets.

I believe that we need to use BYU tv to recruit: Rugby, basketball, baseball, cross country. We have a strong presence in South America. The countries in these areas and the Pacific Islands perform well in these sports.

One criticism of BYU-Provo is that it is too white and catering to upper-middle class America. It needs to diversify among international members who are talented. Sport is an avenue in which that can accelerate. I firmly believe that the church has a much broader vision than I have laid out.
