it, including the most pro-LDS somewhat neutral person to tackle the issue in the media (so far). It's only a bad solution to people biased in favor of BYU/HCO. Neutral parties aren't going to think this is a bad solution and obviously those biased against BYU will not either.

BYU won't come out of this looking good with anything short of full amnesty for someone that reports that they were a victim of assault.
