It was a different landscape in 2011 but those events may have poisoned the B12 long term. Back then
no one knew if the B12 would survive. The Big East didn't and it wouldn't have surprised many if the B12 hadn't either. BYU hadn't given Indy a shot then. They had a new ESPN contract, a vision for independence, and a conference in negotiations that was on very shaky ground. I believe if there were offenses given, it may not have been as deliberate at some may think. Perhaps BYU was just wanting to see how things went. If the B12 had folded like the Big East did, TH would look like a genius now. There may have been some requests that BYU simply cannot bend on and we all need to accept those and not blame TH. It's like being mad you weren't invited to a keggor in high school when you'd never drank and never planned to. Maybe BYU will get invited, maybe they won't. There are too many factors out of TH's control and if we knew all of them, we may very well understand and even agree with how he's handled it in every detail.
