Michigan was just the better, more athletic team when they played BYU the difference when Michigan played Utah in the first game Utah was at full strength and it was a great physical battle with Michigan.
Against BYU Utah was a shell of an offense and was missing aeveral key players like Booker, their TE's who Wilson relied on a lot and Covey, Scott were at 75 %. Utah was so desparte for WR's against BYU they moved Bird and their back up QB Thompson to WR. They still beat BYU.
